Aquafan in Riccione Hosts Human Chain to Promote Organ Donation

At the Aquafan water park in Riccione, Italy, organizers staged a human chain called “La Catena della Vita” to raise awareness for organ, tissue and cell donation. The event, coordinated by Costa Edutainment in partnership with the Italian Association for Organ Donation (AIDO) and the Regional Transplant Centre, brought together hundreds of participants who linked hands before the park’s daily maxi‑wave.

Transplant recipient Lia Blatti, whose kidney transplant in 2015 saved her life, inaugurated the chain, sharing her story and urging the public to say “yes” to donation. The ceremony featured music, dancers and remarks from Costa Edutainment’s COO Patrizia Leardini, emphasizing the role of education‑focused entertainment in promoting health solidarity.
