Arab League chief Nabil Fahmi phones Tunisian and Algerian ministers on Palestinian support

Arab League Secretary‑General Nabil Fahmi held separate phone calls with Tunisia’s foreign minister, Mohamed Ali Nefti, and Algeria’s foreign minister, Ahmed Attaf. In both conversations he thanked the governments for their active roles in Arab League activities, praised their diplomatic support for the Palestinian cause, and discussed ways to strengthen mechanisms for Arab joint work.

The call with the Tunisian minister also highlighted Tunisia’s upcoming chairmanship of the Arab League ministers’ council and the importance of coordinated Arab and international action to advance a reliable political process toward a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. In the conversation with the Algerian minister, Fahmi offered condolences for the tragic fire at an orphanage in Algiers and reiterated the League’s solidarity with Algeria while reaffirming the shared priority of defending Palestinian rights at the international level.
