Arab League condemns Iranian attacks and Israeli economic pressure

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, has issued strong condemnations regarding recent regional tensions and economic pressures. Fahmy denounced Iranian attacks against Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, describing them as flagrant violations of national sovereignty and international law. He expressed full solidarity with both nations, asserting that their security is an integral part of Arab national security.

In a separate matter, Fahmy met with Yahya Shanar, head of the Palestine Monetary Authority, to discuss the crisis facing the Palestinian banking sector. The Arab League called on the international community to counter Israeli measures against the Palestinian economy, which it characterized as an attempt to stifle the Palestinian economy and sever its external connections. The discussions highlighted the impact of Israeli policies on Palestinian banks and the seizure of clearance funds, which have exceeded six billion dollars, potentially undermining the viability of a two-state solution.
