Iran emphasized a ‘principled policy of good-neighbourliness’ and argued that security in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman should be managed by littoral states without foreign interference. Additionally, Iran reaffirmed its sovereignty over the Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb islands. Addressing economic tensions, the League has intensified its calls for the international community to counter Israeli measures against the Palestinian economy. Specifically, the League highlighted the seizure of clearance funds, which have exceeded six billion dollars, as an attempt to stifle the Palestinian economy and sever its external connections. At its 166th ordinary session in Tunisia, the Council of Foreign Ministers called for immediate international intervention to protect Palestinians from Israeli aggression and settler terrorism. The Council urged the United Nations and signatories of the Fourth Geneva Convention to act in accordance with international law.
