Arad drivers and Moldovan transporter fined for illegal alcohol

Police in Arad County, Romania, detected six traffic violations over two days. Three motorists were arrested while drunk, recording breath‑alcohol levels of 0.61 mg/L, 1.00 mg/L and 0.84 mg/L. In addition, three individuals were caught driving without a licence, including a 17‑year‑old on an unregistered motorcycle, a driver of an unregistered ATV and another driver lacking any licence. All were taken to a hospital for biological sampling.

In Moldova, authorities stopped a car carrying more than 69 containers holding roughly 75 litres of undeclared alcohol. Laboratory analysis revealed one bottle contained an insect and several liquids could not be classified under existing spirit categories. The driver was fined 2,500 (local currency).
