Romania and Moldova host diverse cultural and traditional festivals

Various cultural and traditional events are taking place across Romania and Moldova. In Oradea, Jewish culture is celebrated through theater, music, and dance, including performances by the Israeli duo Daphna Levy and Menachem Zibziner. Additionally, the film “3 zile în septembrie” by Tudor Giurgiu will have special screenings in Oradea as part of a national tour.

In Constanța, the 30th International Festival of Turkish-Tatar Dance, Song, and Folk Costume features over 800 participants showcasing diverse ethnic traditions. Similarly, the Roma Traditional Festival marks its 25th anniversary in Bistrița-Năsăud, celebrating ethnic coexistence through folklore.

Other regional highlights include the Kirchweih celebration in Aradul Nou, honoring Swabian traditions, and community festivities in Bănia and Gârbovăț. In Târgu Jiu, actress Maia Morgenstern will participate in a “Silent Reading Party” at the Brancusi Monumental Ensemble to mark the 150th anniversary of Constantin Brancusi’s birth. Furthermore, the National Theatre of Iași is set to perform in Chișinău as part of the 11th Reunion of Romanian National Theatres, promoting shared cultural values between Romania and Moldova.
