Arajet invests over $1 million in Dominican pilot training

Arajet, the Dominican Republic's flagship airline, is expanding its human capital through its “Cadetes” program, a strategic alliance with Boeing designed to train the next generation of commercial pilots.

The program provides full scholarships to selected candidates, with investments averaging approximately US$300,000 per cadet. Upon successful completion of technical, psychological, and simulator evaluations, graduates are guaranteed positions as first officers qualified to operate Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

To date, the airline has invested over one million dollars in aeronautical training. In addition to pilot development, Arajet has recently trained and hired 18 new Dominican cabin crew members. CEO and founder Víctor Pacheco Méndez stated that the initiative aims to place the Dominican Republic on the global aviation map by developing local professional talent.
