Çarşamba officials discuss agricultural development and investment

Local leaders and trade officials in Çarşamba, Samsun, are coordinating efforts to enhance agricultural production and economic value. Discussions led by Çarşamba Commodity Exchange Chairman Selim Yılmaz focused on improving the quality, marketing, and commercial value of hazelnuts, a key regional product.

Efforts are also underway to brand and commercialize Çarşamba kiwi through projects supported by the Central Black Sea Development Agency. Additionally, meetings with representatives from the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) addressed rural development priorities. These talks emphasized utilizing grants and support programs to encourage investments in food processing, packaging facilities, and integrated livestock-food production to strengthen the local economy.
