ARB Apex Bank profit more than doubles as assets rise to GH¢5.4 billion
ARB Apex Bank PLC reported a strong financial performance for the 2025 fiscal year. Profit after tax jumped to GH¢46.97 million, up 135.9% from GH¢19.91 million in 2024. Total assets grew 136.8% to GH¢5.40 billion, while customer deposits increased 143.1% to GH¢5.13 billion. Loans and advances rose 47.9% to GH¢180.34 million and the investment portfolio expanded 114.5% to GH¢1.36 billion. Board Chair Daniel Ohene K. Owusu attributed the growth to higher deposits, improved liquidity management and strategic investment decisions.
The bank is also preparing to assume a supervisory role for Ghana’s micro‑finance sector under a restructuring announced by the Bank of Ghana. It aims to provide technical support, capacity‑building and operational guidance to community banks, micro‑finance banks, credit unions and other last‑mile providers, positioning itself as a central policy tool for the industry.
