Arc System Works announces Blazblue: Central Fiction for PlayStation 5

Arc System Works has announced that a PlayStation 5 version of the 2D fighting game Blazblue: Central Fiction is currently in development. The announcement was made during the EVO France 2026 event.

The upcoming PS5 version will feature rollback netcode to provide smoother online matches and will support cross-platform play with the Steam version on PC. Additionally, the developer plans to introduce text support for four new languages: French, Italian, German, and Spanish, which will be available in modes such as Story Mode.

Other planned updates include enhanced tools for Training Mode and the addition of Trinity Glassfille to the playable character roster. While a specific release date has not been confirmed, the PS5 version is expected to launch following the “TRINITY -PHASE 3-” update. Players who currently own the PS4 version will be eligible for a PS5 upgrade.
