Arc System Works Blazblue: Central Fiction PS5 announcement

Overview

During the EVO France 2026 event, Arc System Works announced that a PlayStation 5 version of the 2D fighting game Blazblue: Central Fiction is in development.

The upcoming version is intended to include rollback netcode to provide smoother online matches and will support cross-platform play with the Steam version on PC. Updates also include improved training mode tools and the addition of four new subtitle languages—French, Italian, German, and Spanish—for story and other modes.

While specific release dates remain unconfirmed, the developer noted that the release of the character Trinity Glassfille is expected to occur on a different date than the PS5 version and the language updates.
