Polish pilgrimages converge on Jasna Góra shrine

Several Catholic dioceses in Poland organized pilgrimages to the Jasna Góra sanctuary in early July 2026. The parish of Matka Boża Nieustającej Pomocy in Tarnobrzeg posted a week‑long schedule of masses, rosaries and a planned bike pilgrimage to the shrine. In Przemyśl, the 46th Archdiocesan Walking Pilgrimage held its second day on 5 July, with groups from Leżajsk, Jarosław and other towns receiving blessings from bishops Stanisław Jamrozek and Adam Szal.

The Poznań Archdiocese announced the start of its pilgrimage on 6 July, using the theme “Wypłyń na głębię” and featuring a special oratorio at the Archcathedral of St. Peter and Paul. On the same weekend, the 27th Cavalry Pilgrimage from Zaręby Kościelne arrived at Jasna Góra after a 400‑km, 11‑day ride on historic Uhlan horses, observed by Bishop Tadeusz Bronakowski.

All events were coordinated by local clergy and featured liturgical celebrations, blessings for participants and emphasis on traditional devotion to the Black Madonna of Częstochowa.
