Architecture events and urban planning developments announced in Trnava and Bratislava

Trnava will host its first Architecture Day from October 1 to 3 at the Creative Center Trnava. The event is part of a larger festival spanning over 130 locations across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The program includes exhibitions such as ‘Bývam, teda som’ and ‘Priestor v medzičase’, along with guided walks, workshops, and an interactive model of Trnava to help visitors understand the city's structure and development. Admission to the festival is free.

In Bratislava, the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava (MIB) is preparing an interactive 3D physical model of the capital to be installed at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (TU-BA) by 2027. The 1:3000 scale model, covering approximately 17 square meters, will visualize Bratislava's urban development and key transformation sites through the year 2050. While the compact city center will be physically represented, outlying districts will be shown via supplementary digital map and web interfaces. The model is intended for educational, presentation, and participatory purposes to assist in the preparation of the Metropolitan Spatial Plan.
