Rosalie Thomass joins Franken-Tatort as new lead investigator

Actress Rosalie Thomass debuts as Chief Inspector Emilia ‘Emmy’ Rathgeber in the new Franken-Tatort episode, ‘Gottesgarten’. The episode marks a significant change for the Nuremberg-based crime series, as Rathgeber joins existing investigator Felix Voss, played by Fabian Hinrichs, to form a new detective duo.

The plot follows the investigation into the murder of Elias Schaller, a drag artist found dead in a Nuremberg hourly hotel. While initial evidence suggests a crime within the red-light district, the investigation leads the team to Schaller’s hometown in Upper Franconia, uncovering dark secrets from his past and themes of empathy and social tolerance.

‘Gottesgarten’ is scheduled to air on ARD on October 25, 2026, but is available for streaming in the ARD Mediathek starting October 23.
