Argentina adds 105 MW of solar capacity in La Rioja and Mendoza

Argentina’s Secretariat of Energy approved the connection of two new photovoltaic solar parks to the wholesale electricity market. The Arauco Solar V project in La Rioja will provide 79.92 MW, while the Costa de Araujo park in Mendoza adds 25.44 MW, together contributing 105.36 MW to the Argentine Interconnection System. Both projects meet technical requirements set by CAMMESA, and any penalties for technical unavailability will be charged to the respective owners.

The approvals were formalized through Resolutions 138/2026 and 139/2026 and published in the official bulletin.
