Argentina adds neonatal incubators; Colombia receives ambulances to boost health transport

The government of Río Negro Province in Argentina will complete the deployment of 11 high‑technology neonatal transport incubators this week, integrating them into the province’s network of advanced ambulances. The units, equipped with thermal stabilization and physiological monitoring, will serve hospitals in Viedma, General Roca, Cipolletti, San Carlos de Bariloche, Allen, Villa Regina, Choele Choel, Río Colorado, Ingeniero Jacobacci, San Antonio Oeste and Sierra Grande, improving the safety of transfers for premature or high‑risk newborns.

In Colombia, the Ministry of Health delivered five new medical transport vehicles, including three ambulances, to the Hospital Local de Puerto Asís. The delivery, made during a visit by Health Minister Guillermo Jaramillo, is part of a broader investment of more than 32 billion pesos aimed at strengthening primary‑care services and expanding access for remote communities. Additional resources will fund a mobile medical‑dental unit, a basic‑care ambulance and new biomedical equipment.
