Argentina adds two solar parks – Arroyo Barú inauguration and Corrientes grid connection
Governor Rogelio Frigerio inaugurated the 483 kW Arroyo Barú solar park in the province of Entre Ríos, a project that cost 600 million Argentine pesos and includes a new 33‑to‑13.3 kV transformer substation to boost power for local industry and residents.
The National Electricity Regulator approved the connection of the 20 MW Santa Catalina I photovoltaic plant in Corrientes to the national grid via a 33 kV line. The plant, developed by Coral Energía of the Corven group, will feature more than 41 000 solar panels, represent a US$30 million investment and is expected to create direct and indirect jobs while strengthening regional power supply.
