Salta to fund paving of National Route 40 stretch
Salta Governor Gustavo Sáenz has announced that the province will use its own funds to complete the paving of the National Route 40 between Molinos and Seclantás. This 17-kilometer stretch is considered a strategic sector for the territorial integration of the Calchaquí Valleys.
The project had previously reached 75% completion before being halted. The provincial government decided to intervene because the work, which is technically a national responsibility, had been paralyzed since late 2023. The paving is expected to benefit local tourism and primary production while improving road safety and regional economic development.
