Infrastructure and public works in Argentina and Spain

Infrastructure and public works projects are being implemented across various regions in Argentina and Spain, with recent developments emphasizing climate resilience.

In Argentina, efforts include large-scale road maintenance and bridge construction. Projects involve building a new bridge on Route 151 in Río Negro, constructing a bridge over the Tabay stream in Jardín América with international funding, and improving 121 kilometers of rural roads in Mendoza. Other regional works include repairs to the Route 5 bridge at the Río Tercero reservoir, repairs to the Costa Grande bridge in Corrientes, and paving projects in Córdoba and Tucumán. Additionally, a federal court has mandated immediate repairs to national routes 33, 8, and 7 in the General López Department.

Meanwhile, in Paiporta, the demolition of the century-old Pont Vell bridge has begun following damage from a DANA weather event. The Spanish government is overseeing the demolition to facilitate a modern replacement designed with 45% greater hydraulic capacity to improve resilience against future extreme climate episodes.
