Argentina allocates ARS 1 bn for Río Colorado hospital roof and launches ARS 8.7 bn tender for Buenos Aires Santojanni
The provincial government of Río Negro added a further ARS 50 million to the financing of the roof replacement at Hospital Área Programa “Dr. José Cibanal” in Río Colorado. The new contract, signed with Amik Servicios SRL for ARS 1 083 487 181, will rebuild a metal‑sheet over‑roof covering about 2 600 m² and includes new ceilings, ventilation, repairs to operating rooms, delivery rooms, sterilisation areas and the X‑ray department. Local officials said the work will improve working conditions for staff and the safety of patients, with the construction slated to finish within a year.
Separately, the Buenos Aires city government issued a public tender to expand Hospital Donación Francisco Santojanni in the Liniers district. The project, budgeted at more than ARS 8 717 908 594, calls for a new building for pediatric outpatient consults, a comprehensive remodel of the emergency guard area and broader infrastructure upgrades. The tender process opens on 8 July, with a 390‑day execution timeline, aiming to modernise the facility and meet growing demand for child health services.
