Argentina auctions state-owned housing project and seized property

The Argentine government approved a public auction of the Pro.Cre.Ar housing development in Junín, covering 21,347.46 m² and priced at a base US$7,061,772.57. The move signals a shift from state‑run housing initiatives toward private sector participation in order to address the country's chronic housing deficit.

Separately, Banco Ciudad will conduct an electronic auction on 5 August for a 160 m² property seized in a narcotics case, located at 11 de Abril 250 in Bahía Blanca, with a base price of US$162,370. The sale also includes fractional ownership of a related garage. Both auctions are part of the state’s broader strategy to dispose of assets and recover proceeds from criminal investigations.
