Argentina authorizes sale of state-owned properties

The Argentine government has authorized the sale and auction of four state-owned properties located in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza, and Tierra del Fuego. Established via Decree 764/2026 and signed by President Javier Milei and Chief of Cabinet Diego Santilli, the measure empowers the State Property Administration Agency (AABE) to dispose of these assets.

The properties include a 956.80 square meter site in Buenos Aires, a 32,261.26 square meter plot in Córdoba, a 25,840.90 square meter area in San Rafael, Mendoza, and a large 382,594.79 square meter site in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego.

The administration stated that these properties were identified through audits as being underutilized, misused, or lacking a specific purpose. The government aims to generate revenue for the National Treasury and reduce maintenance costs, asserting that the sales will “generate an impulse in the economy by putting them at the service of various productive activities.”
