IDEA Colloquium opens in Mar del Plata to discuss Argentina's economic future
The 62nd IDEA Colloquium has opened in Mar del Plata, bringing together over 1,000 business leaders, politicians, and specialists to discuss Argentina’s economic growth strategies for the next 20 years. The forum focuses on transitioning from economic stabilization to sustained development, addressing key issues such as competitiveness, fiscal frameworks, and technological advancement.
Due to a simultaneous government mission in France, several high-ranking officials will participate virtually. President Javier Milei is expected to join via a live interview from Paris, while Economy Minister Luis Caputo and Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno will provide remote contributions. Senator Patricia Bullrich will be the primary government representative attending in person.
The event features prominent international and local figures, including former Hong Kong Stock Exchange CEO Nicolás Aguzín and Kaszek founder Hernán Kazah. Discussions aim to bridge the gap between the private sector and public policy to foster investment and long-term economic stability.
