Argentina Economy Minister meets with IDB officials regarding financing

Argentine Economy Minister Luis Caputo met with representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to discuss ongoing multilateral financing. The government has approved contract models for an IDB loan of up to US$ 85 million for Mendoza. This funding is part of a larger US$ 700 million credit line intended for the digital transformation of subnational health systems, covering infrastructure, equipment, cybersecurity, and interoperability.

Caputo described the financing as a “concrete demonstration of confidence in the economic program and the reforms” led by President Javier Milei. Additionally, Caputo met with Susan Segal, president of the Council of the Americas, to discuss economic reforms, investment projects, and business opportunities in Argentina.
