Argentina expands CPR training for health workers and citizens

Various regional initiatives in Argentina are focusing on expanding cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for both healthcare workers and the general public.

In Paraná, the Municipality of Paraná and the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos (Uader) have launched a training cycle. Throughout October, nursing professionals and faculty members will visit municipal Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS) to update the skills of health workers and ensure they are prepared for emergency situations in accordance with new health regulations.

In General Alvear, a collaborative program titled ‘Maniobras que salvan vidas’ (Maneuvers that save lives) recently concluded its third and final session. Organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, and Livestock of General Alvear, the Hospital Enfermeros Argentinos, and the Professional Nursing Residency, the program provided theoretical and practical training to over 70 participants, including students, workers, and local residents.
