Buenos Aires Province electricity tariffs rise about 5% in July 2026
The government of Buenos Aires Province approved an update to the electricity tariff tables for distributors Edelap, EDEA, EDEN and EDES, affecting roughly 200 local cooperatives. The new rates take effect on 1 July 2026. For residential customers without subsidies the fixed charge will increase by about 5 % and the variable charge by roughly 2 %. Customers covered by the Subsidios Energéticos Focalizados (SEF) will see a smaller rise – about 2 % on the fixed component – while the variable component remains similar.
The resolution also raises the extra bonus for SEF beneficiaries from 10.67 % to 11.97 % of the subsidised consumption base and updates transient components such as the Valor Agregado de Distribución (VAD), the Sobrecosto por Generación Local (SGL), the Agregado Tarifario (AT) and the Cargo de Transición Tarifaria (CTT). The overall subsidy scheme and benefits for social tariffs, public‑service clubs and renewable energy generators remain unchanged.
