Argentina expands technical education with new intensive vegetable production program and bakery graduate ceremony

On June 5 the Centro Regional de Estudios Superiores de Tres Arroyos (CRESTA) announced that the enrollment period closed for a free two‑year‑and‑a‑half virtual Technical Degree in Intensive Vegetable Production. The program, created through an agreement between the Municipality of Tres Arroyos and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National University of Mar del Plata, includes an introductory course in June‑July and will begin classes in August. It aims to train technicians in crop management, resource optimisation, sustainable practices and project evaluation to support the regional agro‑economic sector.

On June 4 the Provincial Council of Education held a ceremony in El Calafate to present certificates to graduates of bakery and pastry courses at the Centre for Professional Training (CEFyAP). The courses were delivered through a strategic partnership with the Union of Tourism, Hotel and Gastronomy Workers (UTHGRA). Officials highlighted that the training strengthens the local tourism‑linked food industry and contributes to regional employment and development.
