Argentina government auctions Palermo land for US$4.33 million
The Argentine national government, through the Agency for the Administration of State Assets (AABE), has announced an electronic public auction of a 1,155.72 m² plot located at Avenida Córdoba 5405/11 in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires. The auction base price is set at US$ 4,332,155, with interested bidders able to register until 12:00 hrs on 5 August and the bidding scheduled for 14:00 hrs on 13 August 2026.
The parcel was previously part of the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) and was de‑affected for sale by Resolution 78/2026. The National Tribunal of Valuations assigned it a venal value of $6.130 billion (≈US$ 4.33 million) and the National Commission of Monuments confirmed it has no heritage restrictions. Proceeds from the sale, after transaction costs, will be allocated according to Decree 1382/2012, which governs the use of funds from state‑owned property disposals.
The sale is part of a broader government policy to liquidate non‑essential public assets. In the same period, Banco Ciudad will auction a 395.6 m² lot in Recoleta, and Playas Ferroviarias de Buenos Aires will auction two parcels on Avenida Juan B. Justo, also in Palermo, with base prices of US$ 1.68 million and US$ 9.27 million respectively.
