Argentina Governor Survey Puts Gustavo Sáenz First, Axel Kicillof Lowest

CB Global Data conducted a June 2026 survey of Argentine provincial governors, interviewing 900‑1,193 residents per province and the City of Buenos Aires. The poll measured the share of respondents giving each governor a positive image.

The highest ratings were recorded by Salta governor Gustavo Sáenz (54.6 % positive), followed closely by Neuquén’s Rolando Figueroa (54.4 %) and Tucumán’s Osvaldo Jaldo (54 %). At the bottom, Buenos Aires Province governor Axel Kicillof received only 42 % positive, with La Rioja’s Ricardo Quintela (43.2 %) and Formosa’s Gildo Insfrán (45.3 %) trailing. In the northeast, Misiones’ Hugo Passalacqua ranked fourth nationally with 53.7 % and Corrientes’ Juan Pablo Valdés placed ninth with 51 %. The survey also noted that Río Negro governor Alberto Weretilneck rose 3.7 points, while San Luis governor Claudio Poggi fell 2.2 points.
