Argentina hosts animal welfare drives in Ushuaia and San Luis del Palmar

The municipality of Ushuaia organized a volunteer day at the Zoonosis annex, where 15 community members helped care for 18 dogs, providing outdoor walks and promoting responsible animal care.

In San Luis del Palmar, provincial health authorities and the local municipality conducted an integrated campaign offering sterilization, vaccination and deworming for dogs and cats. More than 150 pets were treated by a mobile surgical unit, aiming to strengthen responsible ownership, curb stray populations and prevent zoonotic disease.

Both events emphasize community involvement in animal health and seek to improve public welfare through preventive veterinary services.
