Argentina implements mathematics training programs in Entre Ríos and Jujuy

Educational authorities in Argentina are implementing specialized training programs to strengthen mathematics instruction and improve student learning outcomes across different provinces.

In Entre Ríos, the Consejo General de Educación (CGE) is conducting the “Compromiso Federal por la Matemática” program. This initiative focuses on the articulation between primary and secondary education levels. The training involves a 150-hour hybrid program designed to help teachers implement problem-solving methodologies, ensuring students transition smoothly between school levels with the necessary skills for higher education or the workforce.

In Jujuy, the Ministry of Education is advancing the “Matemáticas Somos Red” integral plan. A recent meeting involved 125 teachers from 25 schools, focusing on mathematical literacy and collaborative institutional work. The program aims to provide educators with new pedagogical tools and perspectives to address the specific realities of their local institutions.
