Argentina launches interactive botanical circuit in Entre Ríos and citizen‑science talks in Jujuy

The Colegio del Uruguay in Entre Ríos marked its 177th anniversary and the 125th anniversary of the provincial Tree Day law by unveiling an Interactive Botanical Circuit. The self‑guided tour uses QR codes to share information about the historic garden planted by founder General Justo José de Urquiza, and was developed by a multidisciplinary team of teachers, the school’s archive, library, biology lab and IT department, with 3‑D‑printed signage funded by alumni.

In San Salvador de Jujuy, the municipal Botanic Park Barón Carlos María Schuel hosted a free lecture titled “Citizen Science: How Can We Help?” as part of its “Ecos del Parque” environmental‑education series. Doctoral fellow Facundo Carrizo of CONICET explained how volunteers can record flora and fauna observations on citizen‑science platforms, presenting digital tools for biodiversity monitoring. The event was limited‑capacity, offered a virtual stream, and required prior registration.
