Argentina launches projects to boost business climate and SME energy efficiency

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the Argentine think‑tank CIPPEC have begun a multi‑city initiative to assess and improve sub‑national regulatory efficiency in Córdoba, Rosario, Salta and Tandil. The project evaluates five dimensions—administrative burden, regulatory quality, institutional capacity, digital access and transparency—to produce policy recommendations that will make local regulations clearer, more stable and less costly for businesses. It is part of a regional program that also involves partners in Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala.

In parallel, the EU‑co‑financed programme "Patagonia Argentina: energy efficiency as a strategy for SME transition" was launched in Tierra del Fuego. The Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (CAME) and Fundación Bariloche, together with provincial authorities, will provide tools and training for small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises to reduce energy use, cut costs and increase competitiveness, promoting a triple‑impact sustainable development model across Patagonia.
