Argentina SME energy-efficiency initiatives

In late July 2026 Argentina’s Ministry of Energy opened registration for a five‑month learning network in Tierra del Fuego, offering free workshops and technical assistance to small and medium‑size enterprises to assess and improve their energy use.

A week later the Center for International Private Enterprise and the Argentine think‑tank CIPPEC announced a multi‑city project to evaluate and streamline sub‑national regulations in Córdoba, Rosario, Salta and Tandil. The initiative, part of a regional programme spanning several Latin‑American countries, runs alongside the EU‑co‑financed “Patagonia Argentina: energy efficiency as a strategy for SME transition” programme that was also launched in Tierra del Fuego, providing tools and training for SME energy‑saving measures.

Together, the two steps expand the focus from a single‑province training network to a broader effort to improve the regulatory environment for businesses while reinforcing the energy‑efficiency support for SMEs across Patagonia.
