Argentina launches digital portal for RIGI investment projects

Argentina has launched an official digital portal to track projects under the Régimen de Incentivo para Grandes Inversiones (RIGI). Introduced by Economy Minister Luis Caputo, the website allows interested parties to monitor the status, approval, and execution of large-scale investment projects to ensure greater transparency.

Currently, 22 RIGI projects have been approved, representing a total investment of approximately $47 billion and the creation of 95,950 direct and indirect jobs. These projects are distributed across five sectors: 12 in mining, six in oil and gas, two in electric energy, and one in infrastructure and steel. An additional 22 projects are under evaluation, with a projected investment of $151.9 billion and the potential to generate over 131,000 jobs.

In a separate development, ARCA has implemented the Investment Management System (SGI) to facilitate the adhesion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the RIMI promotion regime. This system allows SMEs to register productive investment projects and manage applicable tax benefits, such as accelerated amortization, through a digital platform.
