Argentina launches tourism development workshops in Salto Grande and training courses in El Calafate

A workshop titled “Aportes al Territorio” was held at the Concordia Convention Center, bringing together municipal officials, legislators, public agency representatives, business associations and private sector actors to discuss strategic information for tourism, production and logistics development in the Salto Grande region. The event, part of the Inter‑American Development Bank’s mission, concluded the Programme for Development and Integration of the Salto Grande Region and presented technical studies for the departments of Colón, Federación and Concordia, emphasizing thermal tourism and regional connectivity.

In El Calafate, the local Chamber of Hospitality, Gastronomy, Commerce, Tourism, Industry and Related Activities organized a series of territorial training sessions throughout May. More than 90 participants attended modules on cost‑profitability management, CPR/DEA first‑aid, and fire‑extinguisher use, aiming to improve business performance, safety and emergency response in the hospitality sector.
