Argentina: President Milei plans provincial visits and energy summits

President Javier Milei is set to undertake a series of provincial visits in late October to strengthen his administration's territorial presence and support regional development. A key stop will be in Catamarca, where the President intends to inspect major investment projects under the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI), particularly in the strategic mining sector involving lithium, gold, and silver.

In Neuquén, Milei is scheduled to participate in the opening of the Argentina Oil & Gas (AOG) Patagonia 2026 event. This industry summit, which features over 550 companies, focuses on the expansion of the Vaca Muerta energy formation. Additionally, a German delegation of nearly 30 public and private sector representatives is visiting Neuquén to explore commercial and technological opportunities within the province's oil and gas industry.

In other regional developments, authorities in Córdoba and Buenos Aires have established a joint cooperation agenda to combat narcocriminality through shared intelligence and specialized law enforcement. Meanwhile, coordination efforts are intensifying in Córdoba for the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV, scheduled for November 10.
