Argentina Ministry of Education intervenes in school bullying case

The Ministry of Education and Labor has intervened at the Pía Didoménico Private School in San Fernando following reports of school bullying and digital violence. The intervention was triggered by social media footage showing alleged aggressions between students, as well as incidents involving unauthorized access to a student's mobile phone and the non-consensual distribution of intimate material.

Authorities from Private Education, School Mediation, and Institutional Coordination met with the school's legal representative and secondary school director to review documentation. The Ministry has ordered the institution to submit a detailed report on the facts and measures taken within 24 hours, alongside an individual protection and pedagogical continuity plan for the students involved.

In response to the incident, which gained national attention on social media, members of the educational community, including parents and neighbors, held a peaceful protest in front of the school. Demonstrators expressed frustration with the perceived slowness of judicial investigations and are demanding that criminal proceedings regarding the digital harassment and privacy violations proceed swiftly to set a legal precedent.
