Argentina municipal hospitals appoint new directors

Dr. Ana Lía Santanatoglia was named director of the Hospital Municipal “Dr. Francisco Eguiguren” in the town of 30 de Agosto, succeeding Dr. Jorgelina Martín. The appointment was made by Mayor Francisco Recoulat, and Santanatoglia, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, will assume the role formally next week.

In a separate interview, Dr. Urquiza, director of the main public hospital in Federación, highlighted recent expansion and refurbishment work, improvements to emergency services, and strengthened mental‑health care. She defended the construction of a new kitchen and supporting facilities, noting that the upgrades raise overall hygiene, safety and staff conditions.

Both hospital leaders emphasized ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and improve patient care in their respective Argentine municipalities.
