Argentina municipalities act on road animal safety incidents

Municipal authorities in Argentina intervened in two separate animal‑related road incidents. In Bariloche, the San Carlos de Bariloche Animal Health Department captured a stray mare and a golden‑coloured horse that had been roaming a busy roadway, placing them in municipal care and warning owners about the dangers of irresponsible horse ownership. In Quilmes, a truck carrying cattle overturned in a stream, prompting police, firefighters, civil defence and animal‑health officials to rescue the surviving cows, secure the site and prevent theft, while one calf was recovered dead.

Both events highlight municipal concerns over public safety and animal welfare, emphasizing the need for responsible animal containment to avoid accidents on public roads.
