Argentina opens new child‑care centers in Tucumán and Chaco provinces

The Tucumán provincial government handed over the keys to a new Centro de Desarrollo Infantil (CDI) in Los Aguirre. Minister of Public Works Marcelo Nazur inaugurated the facility, which will serve children from 45 days to four years old and includes three patios, health and nutrition monitoring, and spaces for early education. The project, promoted by Governor Osvaldo Jaldo, aims to support families and single mothers by providing safe child‑care while parents work or study.

In Chaco, Governor Leandro Zdero opened the refurbished Centro de Integración y Fortalecimiento Familiar (CIFF) No. 24 “Dolores Moreyra” on Isla del Cerrito. The historic building was restored with funding secured from the Inter‑American Development Bank and now accommodates up to 80 children, up from 52. The ceremony was attended by Ministers Hugo Domínguez (Infrastructure) and Diego Gutiérrez (Human Development) and representatives of the Soy Chaco foundation, which supplied essential equipment. The upgraded center provides expanded classrooms, kitchen facilities, and health‑nutrition services for vulnerable families.
