Argentina faces rising socioeconomic discontent and calls for federalist leadership

A recent public opinion poll by Proyección Consultores indicates widespread socioeconomic discontent in Argentina, with 72.8% of respondents stating the country's situation has worsened or remained equally bad in recent months. Approximately 70.1% of citizens report that their household economy has deteriorated or stayed the same, while 63.1% project continued decline over the next six months. The primary daily concern cited by 53% of the population is low personal and family income, followed by political corruption and insecurity.

In the political sphere, National Deputy Guillermo Michel has advocated for a federalist approach to future leadership, suggesting that the next president should come from the country's interior rather than the Buenos Aires metropolitan area (AMBA). Michel, a member of the Frente Renovador, argued that the Peronist movement must shift its focus from internal leadership disputes in Buenos Aires to addressing the practical economic difficulties faced by families nationwide to become a viable alternative to the current administration.
