Argentina power outages surge as storm hits Chaco and truck accident cuts service in Arturo Seguí

Secheep, the provincial energy company in Chaco, is intensifying its operational effort to restore electricity after a storm that damaged medium‑voltage lines, especially line 15C in General San Martín and rural lines in Capitán Solari, Colonia Elisa, La Verde, Lapachito and Presidencia de la Plaza. Crews are working in affected neighborhoods of Resistencia, including Foecyt, Villa Ghío, El Cruce and other sectors, while also handling low‑voltage complaints and urging residents to avoid fallen cables and damaged poles.

In the town of Arturo Seguí, La Pampa, a truck dragged overhead cables, toppling several poles and leaving many homes and businesses without power on Calle 154. Volunteer firefighters secured the area, and the local utility Edelap took charge of repairs. No injuries were reported, but authorities warned people to stay clear of the damaged zone until service is fully restored.
