Argentina prepares for papal visit and community solidarity events

In Córdoba, Argentina, the Church is organizing the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV, scheduled for November 10. Organizers are seeking between 8,000 and 10,000 volunteers, aged 18 to 65, to assist with logistics, reception, and animation. Coordinator Nacho Loza stated that the initiative seeks ‘people of good will’ rather than specific professional profiles. Volunteers traveling from other provinces will have basic needs, including food and lodging, covered.

In Comodoro Rivadavia, an artistic performance titled ‘Excavación’ is calling for community participation on September 19 as part of the ‘Recodificando la Moda’ event. This performance aims to raise funds for reforestation efforts in new neighborhoods designated for families displaced by landslides at Cerro Hermitte. The initiative seeks to combine artistic expression with social and environmental recovery for the affected area.
