Argentina President Javier Milei Gains Backing from Bullrich and Santilli Amid Electoral Reform Push
Senator Patricia Bullrich met with Karina Milei at the Casa Rosada, confirming her continued role in President Javier Milei’s governing alliance after recent tensions over the removal of a judicial nominee. Although she had earlier offered her resignation, the private discussion led to a “mature and serious” agreement to stay on.
Vice presidential chief of staff Diego Santilli toured Misiones, holding talks with Governor Hugo Passalacqua and provincial deputy Carlos Rovira. The meetings focused on synchronising the national legislative agenda and rallying support for Milei’s proposed electoral reform that would abolish mandatory open primaries (PASO), with Santilli warning of voter fatigue from repeated elections.
