Argentina presidential communication faces leadership confusion

Confusion has emerged within the Argentine presidency regarding the leadership of its communication strategy. Presidential spokesperson Adrián Ravier confirmed that filmmaker Santiago Oria has assumed leadership of digital communication coordination, a role previously held by Santiago Caputo.

However, Ravier later issued a clarification stating that there has been “no change in the organizational chart of the Executive Power’s communication,” asserting that Caputo remains in charge. Despite this contradiction, reports indicate that Oria’s team—which includes figures such as Iñaki Gutiérrez, Sharif Menem, and Fabián Pereyra—has been managing social media strategy and utilizing artificial intelligence for several weeks.

Internal sources suggest the new digital team was formed under the management of Manuel Adorni. The shift in communication dynamics is reportedly linked to the influence of Karina Milei, who has empowered Oria to direct strategic communication and the broadcasting of presidential events.
