Argentina regional programs launch innovation and sustainability initiatives
Regional government initiatives in Argentina are targeting entrepreneurship and sustainability. In San Juan, the Ministry of Production, Labor and Innovation has launched the ‘Innovation with Impact Program’. This initiative supports entrepreneurs and creative individuals looking to transform innovative ideas into high-impact companies, specifically focusing on Science and Technology-Based Enterprises (EBCT). Selected projects will receive scholarships for pre-incubation or incubation processes, providing access to mentorship, technical assistance, and specialized training to improve scalability and business models.
In Tierra del Fuego, the Secretariat of Productive Development and SMEs is concluding the second edition of a program aimed at reducing food loss and waste in agro-food SMEs. The closing event in Ushuaia will present results from technical assistance provided to local food processing companies. Funded by the Federal Investment Council (CFI), the program aligns with international FSSC 22000 standards to promote sustainable regional gastronomy and operational efficiency.
