The Agencia de Recaudación y Control Aduanero (ARCA) published two new resolutions that overhaul the door‑to‑door postal regime. Resolution General 5884/2026 sets a $3,000 FOB ceiling for imports intended for personal use, allows up to three units of the same product per package, and excludes shipping costs from the limit. The rule requires the postal operator to submit a digital declaration before the parcel arrives; recipients have 24 hours to confirm or correct the data and can be billed for duties in advance, enabling parcels to be cleared virtually before landing in Argentina. The measure also removes technical checks such as SiDIP, exempts the first $400 per shipment from import duties (with a five‑shipment annual cap per person), and keeps medications subject to ANMAT authorization.

Resolution General 5883/2026 simultaneously removes any FOB value ceiling for exports sent through courier services, a change aimed at small and medium‑size exporters. Minister Federico Sturzenegger highlighted that the previous $3,000 ceiling forced many sellers to shift to more costly formal export procedures. Both resolutions are intended to simplify customs, reduce administrative burdens, and support growing e‑commerce and export activity.

The changes were signed by ARCA director Andrés Edgardo Vázquez and announced by the Argentine government as part of broader deregulation efforts.
