Argentina reports shop thefts using distraction tactics in Salta and Río Hondo

In the city of Salta, a perfumery named Coral was robbed while the owner attended a customer. Three imported perfumes, each worth about 400,000 Argentine pesos, were taken from a locked display. Security‑camera footage captured the incident, but no suspects have been detained and police fear the method could be repeated in other local stores.

In Las Termas de Río Hondo, a young vendor at the Verdulería Renata lost her bicycle when thieves took it from a street‑light stand while she was serving customers. The bike, a 29‑inch Oxea mountain bike, had no additional lock. Police were alerted and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.
