Argentina rolls out new eco‑trail and community walk for World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, the government of San Juan province inaugurated the “Aguas de Vida” interpretive trail in the Parque de la Biodiversidad. Governor Marcelo Orrego, the vice‑governor and other officials highlighted the project’s focus on conservation, education and circular‑economy design, noting the installation of recycled‑material benches, signage and a habitat for over 300 aquatic species.

Meanwhile, the municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy organized the first “Eco Caminata Saludable”, a free guided walk from the Chijra neighborhood to the Barón Carlos María Schuel Municipal Botanic Park. The event, run by the local human‑development secretariat, aims to teach sustainable practices, promote physical activity and encourage participants to bring PET containers for recycling.
